The Leander Extended Opportunity Center (LEO) serves as Leander ISD's Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) campus. Our program aligns with the Texas Education Code (TEC), §37.008, which defines a DAEP as an educational and self-discipline alternative instructional program. This program is designed for elementary through high school students who have been removed from their regular classes for mandatory or discretionary disciplinary reasons.
At LEO, our main goal is to help students achieve and maintain academic success while effectively addressing behavioral and disciplinary challenges. We provide a safe and structured learning environment that encourages students to take ownership of their learning. Our dedicated LEO staff plays a crucial role, assisting students in developing or refining their abilities to self-advocate, manage challenges, and achieve personal success.
